Data Management has emerged as an important topic over the last few years. Recent changes in policy, research practice, and computing technology have increased the need for campus-based data services.

Libraries are well-positioned to serve many of these needs: they already have strong relationships with faculty and other stakeholders; they are able to advise on key concerns such as metadata, copyright and preservation; and they have access to infrastructure and tools like institutional repositories that can capture and showcase campus research, including data.

The resources on this page offer an overview of key concerns, strategies for outreach, and some guidelines to help you prepare and showcase data in your repository.
